Frugal Tip Friday - Family Room

Tips on saving money in the family room...
  • DVDs or Videos or Video Games: rent from the library,
    borrow from a friend,
    check www.half.com, www.amazon.com, or www.ebay.com before purchasing at full retail,
    wait for Christmas sales,
    buy used at EB Games or GameStop.
  • Books: borrow from the library (use the reserve system to have them sent to the branch closest to you) borrow from a friend;
    check www.half.com, www.amazon.com, or www.ebay.com.
    Goodwill, Salvation Army, and thrift stores generally have books
    Other options: book buy/sell stores, yard sales, and consignment shops.
    If you read a lot, check into joining a book club or www.cbd.com.
  • Toys: yard sales, thrift stores, Goodwill, Salvation Army.
    Ebay and Amazon are good sources too.
    Clearance at the “marts” and Toys R Us are also great places to check.
    Swap with a friend.
    Sew your own baby doll clothes.
